Buzzing Busy Bee

I have been having a blast in the studio lately:  completing new dolls for  upcoming holiday shows, working on new quilts to enter into shows and completing a relief printmaking class that I have really enjoyed.  I have been carving linoleum blocks to my little heart is content.  I am looking forward to try my hand at carving wood this week.  The prints I have been working on are really a continuation of two different themes I have been exploring in my work.  The first one is about HAIR beautiful HAIR.  I have been printing, carving and quilting about hair.  The second theme is about spirituality and spirit. Here are two examples of works in progress from both themes.

Also, there are a lot of fantastic new releases out there are it pertains to books.  Look over there to the right to see some of what is sitting on my reading table.  Yes, I admit it.  I had to MAKE myself leave my local quilt shop yesterday, LOL
