Recently in the Studio

Here is a picture of Frieda with the large Afro puffs.  I had a lot of fun making her.  I made this doll as an experiment that I ended up really liking.  In addition to dyeing the linen for her bodyI also made paperclay boots for her.  I then stamped and embossed the boots with metallic powder.  I will probably do more embossing next time.  I was kind of conservative for the first time out.  Frieda has already found a lovely new home.  But she was such a doll I decided to make a few friends for her.
